Pelter Chardonnay 2020
Gyártó: Pelter
Cellar for up to 5 years. Serve well chilled. The Pelter family have been involved in agriculture since Sam Pelter emigrated from the United States to Israel in 1970. The passion for wine came with the second generation when Sam’s son Tal Pelter went to study winemaking in Australia. Upon his return he began making wine with his brother Nir. The modern day Pelter winery was established following the family’s move to the Golan Heights where conditions are perfect for premium winemaking thanks to the high altitude vineyards. This charming Chardonnay is crafted from fruit from two vineyards in the Golan Heights and Mitzpe Ramon. The different characteristics of these two areas help to create a complex, multi-layered wine with plenty of ripe tropical fruit and an elegant minerality on the long finish. The grapes are harvested by hand to ensure they arrive at the winery in top condition and the wine is fermented and matured in stainless steel tanks to preserve varietal purity. Guava, mango, honeydew melon and hints of bitter almonds define the aromatic nose while the palate offers plenty of ripe stone fruit, citrus, and a subtle stony minerality. This vibrant flavour profile makes this wine a great aperitif or partner for seafood, grilled fish, spicy Asian curries and salads, or leafy summer salads.
