Ca Viola Langhe Riesling 2017
Gyártó: Ca Viola
Cellar for up to 4 years. Serve well chilled. The Ca' Viola estate is located in the charming Piedmontese town of Dogliani in Langhe which is especially known for its top quality Dolcetto wines. The winery is owned by Giuseppe "Beppe" Caviola who worked with many of Piedmont’s top emerging producers during the 1990s while honing his talent for winemaking. Shortly after devoting himself full-time to his own project Giuseppe was named "Enologist of the Year 2002" by Gambero Rosso, Italy’s most important wine guide. Ca’ Viola’s Langhe Riesling begins life in a 1 hectare plot on the estate’s Cissone vineyard which is farmed organically to produce the highest quality raw ingredients possible. Following the harvest the grapes are gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The young wine is then left to rest on the lees for 10 months before bottling begins to add extra complexity and a creamy texture. Honeysuckle, juicy white peach, and grapefruit notes characterise the nose while the first sip reveals a bright freshness, mouthwatering citrus and stone fruit flavours, and a pure, clean finish. The light-hearted and vivacious character of this wine make it an ideal aperitif or partner for fresh seafood, pan-fried fish, or spicy Asian dishes.
