This elegant expression by top local producer Jean-Luc Colombo makes an excellent introduction to the style with its dry, refreshing and upbeat personality. Crafted with local Syrah, Cinsault and Mourvedre grapes, this delicate rosé opens with aromas of redcurrants, cherries and Mediterranean herbs like oregano and thyme. Taste the wine and you’ll be greeted with hints of ripe strawberries, raspberries and black olives along with plenty of fresh acidity. The light body and crisp, clean finish make this wine an excellent choice to serve as a summertime aperitif or to serve alongside a generous platter of fruits de mer or grilled fish dishes. Jean-Luc creates this delicious rosé from grapes grown in his pioneering vineyards nestled in the hills above Marseilles. Here the limestone soils, cooling sea breezes and scents of the surrounding Mediterranean garrigue or bushes help to hone a vibrant and aromatic wine which evokes the stunning local scenery and the lively Côte d'Azur lifestyle with every sip. To preserve the pure character of the grape varieties and the distinctive taste of the terroir, Jean-Luc ferments the wine in stainless steel tanks.
