In recent years the family has been at the forefront of Tuscany’s emergence as a top quality winemaking region thanks to their Super Tuscan wine Tiganello. The Antinoris also have a talent for spotting high potential sites all over the globe and today are recognised as one of the most important winemaking families in the world. The La Braccesca estate in Montepulciano has 103 hectares of top quality vineyards that produce the fruit for this Vino Nobile di Montepulciano wine. Made in a traditional style, this is a fresh and refined red wine with plenty of enticing red cherry, dark berry, and savoury earthy character. The first sip displays a firm structure, fine tannins and intense fruit flavours which linger long on the tongue. Although predominantly made with the classic local grape Sangiovese, the Antinoris add a small proportion of Merlot to the blend to add softness and ripe dark berry flavours. The result is a complex, multi-layered red wine which combines Tuscany’s time-honoured winemaking traditions with French elegance and poise.
